One of the most important strategies for combating coronavirus is the most extensive diagnosis. However, most tests give results far from instantly. The Bosch German consortium has developed a new, fully automated quick test for COVID-19.
The test kit created by Bosch will be available in Germany in April, and will soon be available in other countries. The development is based on the Vivalytic diagnostic apparatus, which, according to the manufacturers, will be the first automated test for COVID-19.
The test, created at Bosch, recognizes not only coronavirus, but six other respiratory diseases, such as influenza A and B. During laboratory tests of the device, the accuracy was 95%, which corresponds to the standards introduced by WHO.
