The project “Monuments of World Significance in Nakhchivan”, implemented by the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS and the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the framework of the project “Future Researchers”, was successfully completed.

Students of the 10th grade of the Nakhchivan high school Lamia Hajiyeva and Aisha Askerova, under the direction of the head Department of Archaeological Service of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, PhD in History, Associate Professor Zeynab Guliyeva, prepared a map showing the number and location of monuments of world significance in Nakhchivan.

It should be noted that in accordance with the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov “On the Organization of Protection and Certification of Historical and Cultural Monuments in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” of December 6, 2005, 57 of more than 1200 registered and certified monuments are of global importance.
