Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Following the announcement of the quarantine regime by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republican Seismological Survey Center (RSSC) under ANAS continues to operate in an intensified mode with the official permission of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Note that the RSSC is the only state organization, conducting seismological research in the country. The center currently has 40 telemetry seismic stations. Data from these stations are transmitted via satellite directly to the Earthquake Research Bureau. Data from 35 territorial and 5 regional seismic stations are processed here. Currently, the stations and the bureau continue to work in “real time”.
