Employees of the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS strictly observing the quarantine regime declared in the country in connection with the COVID-19 virus, successfully continue their research activities remotely in accordance with the work plan for the current year.

Research is being carried out in the direction of the research work provided for in the Department of Ancient and Medieval History of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology. The head of the department, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor Ilham Aliyev brought to the study the socio-political situation in Nakhchivan, an integral part of Azerbaijan, in the first half of the XVIII century. So, the monograph “Nakhchivan in the Azerbaijani politics of the Safavids, Afshar, Russian and Ottoman states (the first half of the 18th century)” is being prepared for publication.
