Saudi doctors started using a medical robot to treat patients with coronavirus pneumonia, Arab News writes April 23.
A high-tech machine, operating in the King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, is able to test and diagnose patients suspected of being infected with the virus.
The robot is equipped with medical devices such as a stethoscope, otoscope, and a surveillance camera that allows you to examine the patient’s skin through the built-in high-resolution lens.
In addition, other instruments are installed on the device that allow doctors and nurses to work at a safe distance when diagnosing COVID-19 cases, provide patients with medical advice, read their vital signs, take X-ray images and check the patient history using a smartphone application.
