One of the possible forms of a vaccine against a new coronavirus infection may be a drug for instillation into the nose, said Rinat Maksutov, director of the State Research Center for Virology and Biotechnology Vektor. “One of our drugs, it does not follow the classical intramuscular route of administration, but the intranasal route of administration, that is, in fact, it is simply inserted into the nose,” he said on the Russia 1 television channel (quoted by Interfax).
In Russia, ten prototypes of the coronavirus vaccine are being developed. The Vector is working on six, the Biocard company is working on two, one at a time is being prepared at the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums and Moscow State University.
