Having analyzed the data of the Kepler space telescope, an international team of scientists discovered two planets, one of which is very similar in physical characteristics to the Earth.

Both planets revolve around the star, where two exoplanets Kepler-160b and Kepler-160c had already been discovered earlier. The star Kepler-160 itself is located at a distance of 3,000 light-years from Earth.

Scientists drew attention to small changes in the Kepler-160s orbit, which led to the assumption of the existence of a small exoplanet, which is this disturbing element, and the telescope simply could not detect it. By studying a detailed physical model for changing the brightness of a star, scientists thus discovered a potential exoplanet called KOI-456.04, and also discovered the planet Kepler-160d.

The radius of KOI-456.04 is 1.9 of the radius of the Earth, and the period of revolution is 378 days. The planet receives an amount of light from Kepler-160 comparable to the Earth from the Sun (about 93%). At the same time, Kepler-160 has a radius ten times larger than the Sun, and the surface temperature is 300 degrees less. In addition, scientists suggest that there is water on the planet, since it is in the so-called habitable zone.
