Under intelligent civilizations, specialists understood technologically advanced societies - for example, having mastered radio communications, thanks to which communication with earthlings is possible.

The scatter of numbers turned out to be large: from 4 to 211. But the most probable researchers consider the number 36 - so many planets where life is possible may well exist in the Galaxy.
