After a week-long delay, China launched the last, 55th satellite of the Beidou navigation system on Tuesday. This was reported by central Chinese television. The start was originally scheduled for June 16, but it was postponed due to a technical malfunction.
The launch was carried out from the Sichan Cosmodrome (Sichuan Province) using the Changzheng-3-Bi launch vehicle (English name - Long March-3B). The 30th device from the third generation group (Beidou-3, or BDS-1) was launched into orbit, which allows us to talk about the successful completion of the project.
The launch was broadcast on Chinese television. After testing, the satellite will begin to work. Together with other devices of the system, it will allow China to carry out navigation, positioning and a number of other operations around the world.
