The Regulation on the scientific-computer network AzScienceNet, which is the representative of all scientific and educational networks of Azerbaijan, has been developed.

This was told by the Deputy Director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS for Technologies, PhD in Technology, Associate Professor Rashid Alakbarov. He said that the Regulation was developed in accordance with the resolution of the Scientific Council of the Institute of June 5, 2020.

R. Alakbarov noted that the main goal of the AzScienceNet network is to provide support to research and educational spheres, as well as applied work in the field of technology and innovation.

He emphasized that in order to achieve these goals it is necessary to prepare plans for technological development and activities, take appropriate measures to finance them and provide logistics, provide ANAS institutes and organizations with Internet and network services, and expand international cooperation in scientific and educational fields.

According to the deputy director, in the future, activities will be carried out aimed at making forecasts for the formation of technological aspects of state policy in the field of science and education, sending employees abroad and inviting foreign scientists and specialists to the republic, further training of employees, including young specialists, etc.

R. Alakbarov also noted that it is planned to transfer AzScienceNet network data center employees to a new building.
