An online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Oil and Gas of ANAS was held.

First, the acting director of the institute, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov acquainted everyone with the scientific and organizational issues on the agenda.

The meeting discussed the plan of activities of the scientific institution. It was reported about the research work carried out by the departments of the institute during the pandemic, instructions and recommendations were listened to, the cooperation of the institute with local and foreign scientific institutions was talked about, reports on the progress of the implementation of joint projects were heard. The issue of making partial changes to the structure of the Institute of Oil and Gas was also considered, the composition of the Academic Council was discussed.

Then the issue of adopting research programs was put on the agenda. Presentations were held on the topics "Scientific, technical and economic substantiation of the application in Azerbaijan of the technology for collecting carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere and its use in industry" and "Development of new methods for designing the exploitation of hydrocarbon fields, taking into account the rheology of rocks and predicting resource management", after discussions of scientific research papers were accepted.

In conclusion, the head of the Education Department of the Institute of Oil and Gas, Arif Huseynov, spoke about the results of admission to doctoral and dissertation programs and the defense of master's theses.
