Spanish scientists are developing a spray that, when sprayed in the mouth, could stop the spread of coronavirus, the Supreme Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) said.

If it is confirmed that the spray molecules (based on polysaccharides) effectively contain the infection, it can be used against other types of virus, since it affects the mechanism that many microorganisms use to enter cells, the council said.
