A video about the Carica papaya plant available in the greenhouse of the Institute of Dendrology of ANAS has been prepared.

Providing detailed information about the plant, Aynur Huseynova, a researcher at the Institute's Introduction and Climate Change Laboratory, said that this tropical plant has been included in the plant's collection since 2017. She noted that the results obtained from seeds in the greenhouse at the institute gave better results than seeds imported from other countries.

A.Huseynova added that the evergreen palm-like papaya tree has a leafless trunk. Amber or yellow fruits, reminiscent of berries in shape and taste, weigh about 2-2.5 kg. This fast-growing plant lives only 5 years.
