Senior researcher of ANAS Shamakha Astrophysical Observatory winner of 5th “Mobility grant” competition of Science Development Fund under President of AR prof. Nariman Ismayilov was on a trip to Institute of Astronomy, University of St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.

Visit aims at implementing the project of “Appropriating the method of surface photometry of cosmic objects”.

During the visit, Linux system has been set up, developed MIDAS program and DS9 program cooperated with, promoted the ability to work via Operating system and the same programs, established isophots for images of galaxies, obtained diametrically cross-sectional photometric image of galaxies and determined orientation parameters.

N. Ismayilov delivered lecture in the scientific workshop of the Institute of Astronomy at the University of St. Petersburg department of astrophysics and Astronomical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
