Employees of the Central Botanical Garden of ANAS gave an interview to Azerbaijan Television.

In an interview, the director of the Central Botanical Garden, Doctor of Biological Sciences Vahid Farzaliyev touched upon the issue of reforestation, landscaping of cities and settlements in the newly liberated territories of Azerbaijan, especially in the Karabakh zone. They said that exotic plants adapted to the climatic and soil conditions of the country could be used in landscaping, emphasizing the expediency of local species in this regard.

Touching upon the existence of wide potential in the Karabakh region for the development of grain, vegetable and melon growing, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Asif Mehraliyev noted that the main issue here is the selection of plant species suitable for the soil and climatic conditions of the zone.

Doctor of Biological Sciences Shakir Gasimov noted that special programs should be developed and implemented, such as the restoration of natural monuments and forests in Zangilan, Jabrayil, Gubadli, Lachin, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Fizuli, and the creation of a Botanical Garden in Shusha.
