Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History will release “Islam and welfare culture of Azerbaijan people” catalogue.

Catalogue authored by T. Shiriyev, PhD in history, employee of Ethnography department of the museum, provides information about different types of catalog Koran case, praying (Prayer Mats), mohurqabı, turbans, eba, headscarf, veil, girkhachar jam, keshkul and other religion-oriented materials, which included nearly 600 exhibits.

Catalog embracing certain scientific considerations, enables to provide info about traditional rituals, rites, clothing items, and worship means associated with people’s superstitions as well.
