Experts have found that the enzyme quanilatkinasa 1 (GK1) is especially valuable for the virus. After scientists "removed" it from the body, the proliferation of SARS-CoV-2 stopped.

Experts are confident that the findings will be important for the development and improvement of a drug for the treatment of COVID-19.
