Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

In August 2015, Bakhtiyar Mahmud oghlu Vahabzadeh, national poet, playwright, literary critic, public figure, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR and Azerbaijan Republic, active member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and professor, will celebrate 90th anniversary.

Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh is one of the prominent figures in the history of Azerbaijan literature with a special position. Master’s poetic and philosophical creativity challenging for spiritual glory has played a major role in strengthening spirit of citizenship and enriching the creative literary ideas of independence opinions. Respect to historical and cultural values and protection the purity of the mother tongue was one of the key directions of his activity.

Guided by clause 32, item 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the purpose to provide the hold of 90th anniversary of national poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh who has contributed to the development of national literary, I decree:

1. Taking into account the proposals of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Education, to prepare and implement an Action plan dedicated to the celebration of 90th anniversary of national poet.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of AR to resolve issues arising from this Order.
