Scientists have discovered a molecule that restores neurons and strengthens memory and cognitive abilities.

Researches conducted by the universities of Cadiz and Seville in Spain have yielded positive results.

Researchers have been able to obtain diterpene from a lactating plant. It is noted that this combination activates the enzyme protein kinase C (PKC) and leads to the formation of new neurons in the hippocampus, which are involved in the formation of emotions and the strengthening of memory. This was confirmed by experiments on mice.

According to researchers, in the future, this substance can be used in the treatment of patients with brain trauma.
