Potentially dangerous particles have been found in the sun. They are released at high speeds during solar activity. These particles, which reach the ground, can disrupt the work of satellites.
The study, by astronomers from the University of California, Los Angeles and George Mason University in the United States, was published in the journal “Scienve Advances”.
The data were obtained with the “Wind” probe in orbit between the Earth and the Sun.
In 2014, the device recorded a series of particle flows, each lasting at least one day.
