Scientists have found the reason why wolves survived the ice age

Scientists have explained why wolves survive the ice age.

According to US and Canadian scientists, the gray wolves survived the last ice age because they changed their food behavior to suit new conditions. The results of the study were published in the journals “Palaeogeography”, “Palaeoclimatology”, and “Palaeoecology”.

According to the study, gray wolves are one of the few giant predators that survived the end of the ice age about 11,700 years ago. Today, they live in the forests, tundra, and Alaska of northern Canada. Their diet is based on reindeer and elk.
