According to the director of the Shamakha Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Ayyub Guliyev, spring will come to Azerbaijan in 2015 on March 21 at about 2:45 Baku time.

According to him, on March 20, Sun will move from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere.

This is the moment when the center of the Sun in its apparent motion along the ecliptic intersects the celestial equator. In astronomy, this point is called the “vernal equinox”. At this point, will be observed equality of day and night. From this point on, in the northern hemisphere astronomical spring begins and it continues until 21 June.

Last Tuesday in Azerbaijan will be on 17 of March, and the first Tuesday on February 24.
