Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

By the decision of “European publishing house”, associate of the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, prof. Gara Mashadiev was awarded to gold medal “Best researcher-scientist” for his ongoing successful research in the field of developing encyclopedic dictionary of Azerbaijan toponyms, numerous scientific and journalistic works as well as achievements in the development of linguistics in the country.

Note that G.Mashadiev is also a member of the Commission for Toponymy under the Milli Majlis.
