Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) ANAS is planning to conduct research in the field of Dashkesen iron ore. Research provided under agreement between ANAS and "Azerbaijan steel production complex" CJSC memorandum. In this regard, under the chair of the Deputy Director of IGG on scientific affairs, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Dadash Huseynov and with the participation of corresponding member of ANAS Chingiz Aliyev and doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Yusif Israfilov visit was organized in Dashkesan. The delegation visited the mentioned field and held a meeting with the leadership of "Dashkesan Filizsaflashdirma", including the chief geologist Rasim Suleymanli. Scientists talked about the research potential of the Institute in connection with this issue.

The possibilities studying ways of preventing the accumulation of groundwater in a geological site as well as measuring the level of radioactivity were identified.
