ANAS Presidium hosted the meeting with the delegation of the "Azersu" JSC. Opening the event, president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh noted the importance of ongoing meeting and said that the main purpose is to discuss the possibilities for cooperation in various fields.

It was noted that, the agreement sets the stage for the development of cooperation between the two organizations, as well as joint implementation of important events in the future.

A. Alizadeh put in the forefront the importance of a joint assessment of the existing situation in the republic in the direction of realization of remedial measures, in view of search and introduction of innovative technologies, influence of global climate changes on water resources of the planet, a tendency of shortage of water in the world, and also modern technologies on processing of waste.

The scientist told about the hydrogeological problems, water supply and the technical shortcomings in this area and expressed the willingness of ANAS to provide "Azersu" with any assistance in existing field.

He expressed confidence that the joint activities in different directions will give effective results for both organizations.

Speaking about the broad opportunities of ANAS, positive changes in the last two years, academician Akif Alizadeh noted that the material and technical baseof Academy is strengthened and enriched by innovative technologies.

Then the chairman of “Azersu” JSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov reported about intentions to use the scientific potential of ANAS.

It was noted that, according to the instructions of AR President concerning providing each citizen of the country with qualitative drinking water, currently "Azersu" JSC realizes a large-scale of projects.

Describing a master plan prepared for the Absheron he noted that, according to the plan across the peninsula should be laid water line length of 8 thousandkm. and sewer line over 7 thousand km.

At the same time should be updated 2 thousand km. of existing network.

Notifying the rapid development of technology in the modern world is a merit of scientists, G. Huseynov expressed confidence that cooperation with ANAS will yield positive results.

In summary, ANAS and “Azersu” JSC signed the Agreement of intent "Joint Activity in the field of Introduction of Science and Innovations".
