Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Anvar Aliyev, chief of ANAS Institute of Geography department of Ecogeography, PhD in agrarian sciences, attended International conference titled as “Steppes of Northern Eurasia” organized by Russia Geography Society in Orenburg city.

5 day conference was participated by scientific delegates of Germany, Denmark, Hungary, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, including 46 counties of Russia.

A.Aliyev delivered a lecture on “Eco-geographic problems of Samur-Devechi plain” in the section of “Eco-geographic researches of steppes”. Lecture highly appraised by the conference attendees.

Conference attendees went on expedition to Agbulak and Sol-Iletski regions, got acquainted with creative folklore of nations living in the county, including Turkic nations, their ethnographic traditions (clothing, welfare items and culinary samples) as well.
