Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Taking into account declaring 2015 as the “Year of Agriculture” in the country and “State Program on the reliable food supply of population in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2008-2015”, ANAS successfully continues its activity in this field.  In this respect, with the goal to meet the population's demand for grain products, negotiations were held via relevant agencies and organizations of ANAS and qualitative wheat had been grown in the territory of 50 hectares in Karrar village of the Institute of Botany by "Khizi" Agricultural-Industrial Complex attached to ANAS Presidium Administration Department of General Affairs.

Last day, was organized timely and qualitative grain cutting by assistance of "Agro-Leasing" JSC Ujar agricultural branch. Sale of obtained product was carried out Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Grain Fund under the State Material Reserves Agency.

According to experts, supplied wheat meets the quality indicators of the accepted grain.
