Scientific ties of Azerbaijan and Iran scientists enhances

"Azerbaijan-Iran scientific ties are expanding over several directions”, reports Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli.

According to the scientist, majority of Iranian post-graduates at the institutes of ANAS have already defended PhD thesis and gained diploma. 4 individuals will complete their PhD until the end of current year.

Azerbaijan and Iran scientists jointly participate and deliver lectures in the scientific conferences held in both countries. 16 individuals from various highest schools and scientific centers of Iran Islamic Republic were represented in the international scientific conferences for ANAS Departments of Humanitarian and Social Sciences as a reporter. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan scientists delivered lectures in the conferences organized in Iranian universities. Recently, lectures of academy scientists were submitted due to participate in the international conference to be held in Erdebil, noted I. Habibbayli.

Joint conference dedicated to great Azerbaijani poet Muhammadhuseyn Shahriyar is expected to hold in Baku this year. Moreover, preparatory works are being held in Academy due to organizing scientific international conference devoted to the literary heritage and traditions of one of the prominent classics of world literature, the great Iranian poet and thinker Sheikh Saadi Shirazi. Within the conference documentary about poet will be displayed, stated Academician.

"As we know, works of Sheikh Saadi Shirazi in the Eastern countries and Azerbaijan is used as a teaching aid. In addition, "Gulistan" and "Bustan" works played an important role in the creation and development of educational and didactic literature. The proposed conference will be the first big step in this area", stated Academician.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli stressed the importance of further development of scientific relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
