Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced the results of the competition 3 "Grant of Shusha".

Science Development Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan Republic established the "Grant of Shusha" on May 8, 2012 in order to promote the country's ongoing research, dedicated to Karabakh, as well as providing research on the regional and international level.

The first competition "Grant of Shusha" was announced in 2012, which 4 projects were announced winners. 2 of them were of an international character that has been successfully implemented in collaboration with scientists from Germany and Ukraine. The second competition "Grant of Shusha" was declared in 2013, together with the Foundation for Development of Science and the National Commission of Azerbaijan Republic for UNESCO, as a result of this competition 10 projects were announced winners.

The third "Grant of Shusha" was announced on December 25, 2014. In order to assist applicants for grants consultative workshops were organized, clarifying questions.

The competition received 13 projects in relevant areas of science and types of grants that have been duly registered in the Copyright Agency of Azerbaijan Republic, in the examination of the projects were involved in the constant development of science IMF experts and independent scientific experts. According to the decision of the contest, adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Science Development Foundation, for the third competition "Grant of Shusha" 5 projects have been announced as winners with a total fund size of 220,000 manat.

The winning projects of the 3rd competition "Grant of Shusha" will be performed in Nakhchivan Department of ANAS, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan Republic and is a non-medical research center "Healthy Generation".

In the field of humanities and social sciences have won 4 projects, in the biological, medical and agricultural sciences - 1 project. 2 of the winning projects are international, 4 of them - fundamental and applied nature. One of the winning projects will be organized in Baku international conference "Social and medical aspects of adaptation and quality of life of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan Republic".

The projects that will be carried out on such topics as "Place of Nakhchivan in Azerbaijan-related geopolitical interests of the great powers, and behind the scenes of the genocide committed by Armenians", "Ecological and hydrological threats coming from Armenia to Azerbaijan and other countries in the region in the context of environmental safety", "The collection and analysis of names and linguistic dialects in Agdam region of Azerbaijan", "Evaluation of social and psychological condition of people exposed to trauma as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia", will contribute to the enrichment of research related to Karabakh.
