Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Stavros Andreou, a specialist and advisor of the UNESCO for restoration and preservation of manuscripts, who has been to our country on a working visit at the invitation of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, had an exchange of experience with the staff of the Laboratory of restoration of the museum.

During the meeting with the leadership of this scientific institution was given information about the protection of historical and cultural monuments, the opening of new museums in the country.

The guests were presented with publications of the museum. S.Andreou donated to the museum digital copies reflecting the process of restoration of the rare manuscripts and relevant scientific books, maintained in the Islamic Museum of Quds by UNESCO.

Further, the expert got acquainted with the documents stored in the museum, gave employees lab tips on preservation and conservation of documentary sources.
