Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on amendments to the Decree "On lifting scholarships given to doctoral students and students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions" dated August 30, 2013 #3108.

Governed by Clause 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution, in order to create a competitive environment among students, increase their activity in the learning process and stimulate interest in education to improve the quality of education I decree:

1. Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On lifting scholarships given to doctoral students and students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions” dated August 30, 2013 # 3108 (Legislative Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2013, №8, Article 988) is amended as follows:

1.1. 1.2 and 1.3 items to give as follows: 

"12. in the higher educational institutions:

Students receiving scholarships - 120 AZN

For master's degree:

Students with academic indicators 91-100 points - 105 AZN

Students with academic indicators 71-100 points - 85 AZN

Students with academic indicators 51-100 points - 55 AZN

For bachelor degree:

Students with academic indicators 91-100 points - 95 AZN

Students with academic indicators 71-100 points - 80 AZN

Students with academic indicators 51-100 points - 50 AZN

13. The specialized secondary schools:

Students with academic indicators 91-100 points - 50 AZN

Students with academic indicators 71-100 points - 40 AZN

Students with academic indicators 51-100 points - 35 AZN”

1.2. To Add Part 1-1 as follows:

"1-1. Students studying in the full-time departments of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regardless of training under the state order, by the state or on a fee basis, considering the overall average performance for academic success in the disciplines, grants from the state budget to pay in the amounts set forth in paragraphs 1.2 and 1.3 of this regulation”.

1.3. To give Part 2 as follows:

"2. To define that scholarships are allocated within the funds allocated from the state budget for the scholarships by retaining the number of students under the state order and at public expense in higher and secondary vocational educational institutions"

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

2.1. To prepare and approve the procedure for appointment and payment of scholarships to doctoral students, students and pupils of higher, secondary vocational educational institutions within two months;

2.2. To solve issues arising from this Order.

3. Part 1 of this Order shall enter into force on February 1, 2016.
