Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The year 2016 was declared the Year of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan by the President Ilham Aliyev.

He made the remarks at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socio-economic development in 2015 and objectives for the future.

Guiding by 32 clause of the 109 item of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the purpose to protect, develop and widely promote traditions of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan, hereby I resolve:

1. To declare 2016 as a year of multiculturalism in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers to take into account proposals of the Multiculturalism International Center, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Education, State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, to conduct Action Plan on declaration of 2016 "the Year of Multiculturalism” in Azerbaijan Republic and to submit to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within a month.
