Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On May 10, the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, members of the Presidium of ANAS, heads of departments of the Presidium administration, directors of scientific institutions and organizations, chairmen of trade unions, and young scientists visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, the world-famous political figure, the great son of our nation, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of his birth.

The representatives of the scientific community laid flowers at the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and paid respect to him.  

They also honored the memory of his wife, the prominent ophthalmologist and Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, placing flowers at her grave.

The memories of renowned statesman Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev were also commemorated, and flowers were placed at their graves.
