Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Academician Isa Habibbayli, members of the Presidium, and the heads and representatives of several Academies of Sciences and prestigious international scientific organizations visiting Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of ANAS paid tribute to the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, at the Alley of Honor.

As a sign of their deep respect and reverence for the unforgettable memory of the Great Leader, members of the scientific community laid flowers at the monument on his grave and bowed in tribute to his spirit.

The participants also honored the memory of the Great Leader’s wife, prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, by laying fresh flowers on her grave.

Additionally, the graves of former presidents of ANAS — Academician Mir Asadulla Mirgasimov, Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, Academician Musa Aliyev, Academician Zahid Khalilov, Academician Rustam Ismayilov, Academician Hasan Abdullayev, Academician Eldar Salayev, Academician Faramaz Maghsudov, and Academician Mahmud Karimov — were visited, and their memories were respectfully commemorated.
