Bulgarian scientists believe that jet fuel from cherry is able to fully replace the currently used solid fuel.

Bulgarian scientists have surprised the scientific world with its development of environmentally friendly rocket fuel. It turns out that this type of fuel can be obtained from cherries.

In biomass, which is obtained in primary processing of cherries, contains quantity sugar, which can replace chlorine in rocket fuel and thus save nature from toxic emissions. According to scientists, the new fuel is much cheaper and easily stored. Interestingly, the testing of missiles, dressed with “chereshnevym” fuel, were successful.

The developers claim that fuel fabrication is suitable only cherries of poor quality, which is often not used in cooking and/or household. A few spoonfuls of berry biomass is enough to run a lightweight rocket to a height of 600 metres.
