Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS will start scientific expeditions from April. The aim is to study the history of the ancient settlements of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a scientific analysis of the samples of material culture discovered during archaeological excavations, collection of ancient samples of folklore and rich materials with respect to plant and animal life, the definition of the useful plants, including the preparation and publication of general works, monographs and books, which are the result of research.

The planned study will be carried out by associates of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archaeology, Arts, Language and Literature, Bioresources, until the end of September.

Note that on the basis of materials collected over the years, were published following books: "Nakhchivan encyclopedia" Encyclopedia "Historical monuments of Nakhchivan", "Nakhchivan: history and monuments", "Historical Atlas of Nakhchivan", "The Red Book of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic," and "Folk anthology of Nakhchivan".
