Interactive open lesson on the natural resources of Nakhchivan

With the joint organizational support of ANAS Nakhchivan Department and Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic held next "Interactive open lesson".

In the lesson devoted to "Natural Resources of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan", Director of the Institute of Natural Resources, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aliaddin Abbasov told the students about the deposits of metal and nonmetallic minerals in the territory of Nakhchivan. A.Abbasov noted that, in the 1960-1990's. More than 100 deposits of non-metallic, building materials and decorative stones have been identified on the territory of the Autonomous Republic: "At present, 51 deposits of building materials are installed on the state and territorial balance of the autonomous republic, 11 are clay, 10 are sand-gravel, 9 are facing stone, 7 - cement raw materials, 4 - pilot and construction-stone, 3 - gypsum, 1 - gazhevyh, limy deposits.

Noting that, most of the deposits of nonmetallic minerals discovered on the territory of the Autonomous Republic are in reserve, the scientist informed that their involvement in exploitation can seriously affect the socio-economic development of Nakhchivan. A.Abbasov added that, today in our country a reliable mineral and raw materials base of the building materials industry has been created, and the expansion of private housing construction has increased the use of local materials. He stressed the wide opportunities for the output of manufactured products to the world markets in the near future by attracting national and foreign investments to the mining industry of Nakhchivan.

It should be noted that, the open lesson was observed remotely in 195 schools of the autonomous republic as a whole.
