ANAS Erosion and Irrigation Institute department of “Physical and chemical analyzes” lab carries out researches works in the direction of to increase the productivity of eroded gray-brown soils in the south-east part of Great Caucasus.

Being held for 3 years, researches are scheduled to complete in the end of this year. Researches over the topic “To increase the productivity of eroded gray-brown soils in Gobustan region and elaboration of measures” has chaired by chief of laboratory, PhD in agriculture Mirvari Mammadova. The purpose of the research is to determine the role of sainfoin plant and mineral fertilizers on improvement the fertility of eroded soil in the condition of foothill rainfed in Mountainous Shirvan.

The final result of the research proves that, giving soil fertilizers is one of the best measures to improve fertility of eroded gray-brown soils.
