In Astana, within the framework of the international symposium on "The Reading Nation in the Reading World" was held the V International Conference of Directors of National Libraries of Turkic Speaking Countries.

The conference discussed issues of increasing the bases of libraries of Turkic-speaking countries.

Within the framework of the event, a presentation of a book by academician Nizami Jafarov entitled "Molla Panah Vagif" was also held.

Speaking at the ceremony, the director of the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F.Akhundzadeh, Professor Kerim Tairov recalled the announcement of TURKSOY in 2017 as the Year of Mollah Panah Vagif.

Then the Secretary General of TURKSOY, Professor Dyusen Kaseinov, made it clear that work is underway to translate the works of Molla Panah Vagif into several languages.

The author of the book, Academician N. Jafarov, noted that the book tells the story of Molla Panah Vagif's life, work and worldview.

At the conference the director of the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan of ANAS, academician Naila Velikhanli made a report on the theme "The influence of historical museums on the formation of the younger generation in the socio-cultural environment."

In conclusion, the charter of the 5th international conference of directors of national libraries of Turkic-speaking countries was signed.
