Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On October 27-28, 2017 was held All-Russia conference in Kazan, Tatarstan, Tatarstan on theme "Russia in the world cultural heritage". Deputy director of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Z.B.Bunyadov, academician Shahin Mustafayev participated as UNESCO Silk Road expert.

The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, the State Secretary of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiyev, the responsible secretary of the National Commission for the UNESCO of Russia Grigory Orjonikidze, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin and other officials, cultural workers and scientists participated in the meeting.

Academician Shahin Mustafayev also discussed the importance of Silk Road countries' historical and cultural monuments in the list of UNESCO's Cultural Heritage List. He underlined the necessity of establishing and developing cooperation between Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey and Central Asian countries in this area.

Later S.Mustafayev participated in discussions with Russian experts.
