On December 8, ANAS President, Academician Akif Alizadeh has acquired with the new scientific-experimental rooms of the specialized laboratory No.1, established by ANAS Office of Administration and the Institute of Radiation Problems for scientific research works for defense purposes.

The leadership of ANAS demonstrated the results of experiments corresponding to scientific research conducted in the laboratory; class B office designed to test micropixel photodiodes of a rural man made by Azerbaijani scientists; a test device of silicon photodiodes; ultrasonic micro-welding equipment and a number of other devices. It was noted that the micropixel photodiodes of the peasants that will be manufactured in the laboratory will be used in high-energy physics, medicine, space research and the military sphere.

The ceremony was attended by ANAS Vice-President, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, head of ANAS Office of Administration, Ph.D. Fatali Abdullayev and Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Samedov.
