Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

3rd International Issyk-Kul Forum "Chingiz Aitmatov and the Challenges of Modernity" was held in Kyrgyzstan, Cholpan-Ata held. The event was attended by more than 160 prominent politicians, writers, artists and scientists from 25 countries.

Our country is represented by the vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, doctor of philological sciences, researcher on Chingiz Aitmatov Mehman Hasanov, professor, culturologist Fuad Mammadov and Azerbaijani ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Idayat Orujov.

Among the meetings with the forum honorary guests, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov also met with Habibbayli Isa.

At the conference, which discussed issues of humanism, the current economic problems, the protection of national and cultural values of the peoples Isa Habibbayli, Secretary General of TURKSOY Duchesne Kaseinov, Kazakh writer Oljas Suleimanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Leyla Fazlieva and others spoke at the conference.

Speaking Habibbayli Isa noted that, a number of works by Chingiz Aitmatov were published in the Azerbaijani language. In 2008 according to the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was held the 80th anniversary of the great writer in Baku and Chingiz Aitmatov was awarded the Order of Friendship.
