Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Head of the Department of relations with the academic structures of foreign countries of the Office of International Relations of the Presidium Administration of ANAS, Bunyamin Seyidov and Deputy Head of the Department, Ph.D in Political Science Ruslan Gasimov are on a scientific trip in the Bulgaria, Sofia.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss the upcoming work and plan for the next year on the project “Review of Azerbaijani-Bulgarian relations in the study of the cultural heritage of the regions of the Black and Caspian Seas”, implemented by agreement between ANAS and the National Academy of Bulgaria (NAB).

During the visit, representatives of ANAS also attended the international conference “Geopolitical situation in the Black Sea region: new ideas and problems”, organized by the Institute of Knowledge and Study Society of the NAB.

At the international forum, B.Seyidov delivered a report on “The geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus, Caucasian interests of major powers: political, trade, economic and cultural aspects”, R.Gasimov on “Comparative analysis of Azerbaijani-Bulgarian relations in modern geopolitical conditions.”

The staff of ANAS also met with representatives of the National Academy of Bulgaria, Romania and the University of Uludag Turkey. During the meetings, prospects for cooperation were discussed and was reached an agreement on the preparation of specific proposals.
