Huseynov Boyukaga Murtuza oglu
Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan Boyukaga Huseynov was born on March 7, 1926 in Baku.

He studied at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Azerbaijan State University (now Baku State University). In 1974 he defended his doctoral thesis and received a degree of Doctor of Philology. In 1980 he was given the title of professor, and in the same year he was elected a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences.

B.Huseynov worked as the deputy director of the Institute of Middle and Middle Eastern peoples of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences (now the Institute of Oriental Studies) from 1962 to 1981. He also headed the Iranian Philology Department from 1966 until the end of his life.

B. Huseynov made interesting presentations at international congresses and symposiums in Moscow, Paris, Berlin, Prague.

The scientist is the author of research on topical and theoretical problems of Iranian literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

His scientific works have been published in Azerbaijan and abroad - Iran, Turkey, Czechoslovakia, Russia and other countries.

Corresponding member of ANAS Boyukaga Huseynov died on May 31, 1983 in Baku.
