Huseynov Nazim Museyib oglu
Huseynov Nazim Museyib oglu was born on November 16, 1929 in Tovuz. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute with a degree in Oil and Gas Technology (1953).

In 1962 he received a Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences, in 1975 a Doctor of Technical Sciences, and in 1985 a professor. He was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan (1980).

N. Huseynov Chief Engineer (1964-1967), Deputy Director (1967-1982) and Head of Laboratory at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (1980-1982) Director of the All-Union Scientific Research and Design Institute (1982-1988), Head of the Chemical Processing Laboratory of Natural Gas Components (1982-1998).

His scientific works are devoted to heterogeneous catalysis and chemical technology.

N. Huseynov and his colleagues created a high-efficiency process for the production of ethylene oxide and patents were obtained in 10 foreign countries.

The results of his research are reflected in 150 scientific works, 35 patents and 30 copyright certificates. Under his leadership 20 doctors of philosophy were trained.

N. Huseynov has repeatedly made scientific reports in foreign countries such as the United States, England, Japan, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

N. Huseynov was Chairman of the Patent-Licensing Scientific Council of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Head of the Republican Invention and Efficiency Society, Chairman of the Knowledge Society of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

N. Huseynov received awards from countries such as Azerbaijan, Cuba, Yugoslavia, Honorary Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan and was awarded the medal "Honorary Worker of the Gas Industry" of the USSR.

Corresponding member of ANAS Nazim Huseynov died in Baku in 2010.
