Allahverdiyev Jalal Eyvaz oglu was born on September 17, 1929 in Shusha city and graduated from ASU with honors in 1951. He received his PhD in Mathematics (1957), Doctor of Sciences (1968), Professor's scientific name (1969). He was elected corresponding member of the AAS in 1972, and an active member in 2001. He worked as a senior lecturer in ASU from 1956 to 1960, assistant professor, head of department at AAS Computer Center in 1960, deputy director on scientific affairs, deputy director at the Institute of Cybernetics of AAS in 1969, director in 1970-1988. He worked as the head of the laboratory in the same institute, the pro-rector of BSU in 1988-1994 and as the head of the department at Baku State University in 1994-2017.
J.Allahverdiyev is a specialist in functional analysis. He studied the theoretical bases of the working principles of computers, obtained important scientific results in the development of official grammar of the Azerbaijani language, and provided a mechanism for detecting fuzzy columns in deductive machine and deductive results (with students). He was a member of the International Academy of Ecotourism. Under his scientific supervision six doctors of sciences, more than 40 PhDs have been trained, and have created their own science school. He is the author of more than 130 scientific works. He was awarded the State Prize of the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic (1972) and Honored Scientist (1981). Academician, great scientist Jalal Allahverdiyev died on January 19, 2017 at the age of 87 in Baku. |
