Basic activity directions  

Scientific activity:

1. Problems of measuring and evaluating information culture;

2. Issues of the integration of intelligent gaming technologies in teaching computer science;

3. Sign language recognition problems;

4. Problems of assessing the state of information securityti society.

Pedagogical activity:

• In 2003-2019, about 19 thousand PhD students took courses and passed exams in computer science;

• Conducting training sessions in general subjects of undergraduates of ANAS  and taking exams.

• Organization of courses in various areas of IT for employees of organizations and institutions, as well as for individuals.

• Organization of distance courses, seminars and conferences.

• Implementation of innovative projects aimed at improving knowledge and skills in the field of information technology.

• Organization of Olympiads and various competitions in programming and informatics among students of higher educational institutions of the republic;

Main scientific achievements 

• In the common cultural context, the existing views on the information culture of individuals were comparatively analyzed and scientific and theoretical problems were identified.

• The features of the information culture of individuals were analyzed and the new concept was developed.

• Based on the proposed concept, a new structure consisting of the logical sequence components of the information culture was developed.

• A hierarchical criteria system was developed for the metric evaluation on the generalized and components of the information culture.

• Fuzzy hybrid methods were developed for multi-criteria evaluation of the information culture of individuals.

• Studied and compared the experience of different countries in teaching informatics.

• Proposals have been developed for the integration of intelligent gaming technologies into teaching computer science. 

• The systems of automatic recognition of sign language have been studied, their advantages and disadvantages have been analyzed.

• Proposals have been developed for the creation of systems for recognizing the national sign language and the dactyl alphabet.

• Research is being conducted to determine and assess the level of information security culture in society.
