Synthesis of organic compounds containing elements (S, Cl, N, O, B, etc.) capable of forming a protective layer on metal as the main carriers of lubricating properties against corrosion and scuffing of rubbing surfaces of machines and mechanisms, studying the relationship between their chemical structure and lubricating properties;

Development of gear and industrial oils that meet modern and future requirements, using new and well-known additives.

New organic compounds containing S, N, P and B effectively reducing wear and tear including technology for obtaining additives ИХП-14A and ИХП-14M have been synthesized and studied. Production of these additives has been realized in Russia at the Yaroslavl Refinery;

A number of transmission, industrial and geared oils have been developed and recommended for application with use of additives ИХП-14А and ИХП-14М. On the base of local raw material and compositions of new additives new gas-turbine oils have been created (grant from Science Development Foundation EİF-2010-1(1)-40/35-M-4).

The results of scientific research conducted in the laboratory are reflected in numerous scientific articles (mainly in journals with an impact factor), conference proceedings and patents. According to the results in this area, the laboratory staff takes first place in the assessments conducted at the institute.
