Azerbaijani and Turkish scientists hold archaeological studies in Goranboy and Dashkasan

Goygol-Goranboy archaeological expedition of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS holds excavations in the Goranboy Dashkasan territories in accordance with the schedule of archaeological research.

According to the archaeological expedition, PhD in history Bakhtiyar Jalilov, expedition is involved to the mound tombs in two regions. Currently, archaeological excavations continue in the Uzun Reme mound belonging to the end of fourth millennium BC in the region of Goranboy.  Expedition has been joined team of four anthropologists from Hajettepe University. Expedition led by Professor Yilmaz Erdal, anthropologists began to explore human bones has been found in the mound. Scientists have come to the conclusion that more than 100 people have been buried in this tomb.
