Today, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and the delegation led by him visited the High Technologies Park of ANAS.

At the meeting, ANAS President, academician Akif Alizadeh informed on the activities of Technologies Park noting that, it was established by the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated November 8, 2016.

Now, there are various innovative institutions functioning here. On the territory of ANAS High Technologies Park favorable conditions for the activities of residents have been created, and today the process of turning innovative thinking into business is underway, A.Alizadeh added.

It was noted that, the main goal of the ANAS High Technologies Park is to promote the sustainable development of the economy, increase the overall competitiveness of our economy, as well as create favorable conditions for modern scientific and technological achievements and activities of high-tech manufacturing enterprises.

Then, SOCAR leadership got acquainted with the activities of ANAS Strategic Scientific Research Center. They were provided with extensive information on laboratory equipment, works carried out here. It was noted that, the laboratory facilities were equipped with the most modern equipment. The main task of the laboratories is to ensure objectivity and accuracy of test results, maintain equipment and measurements at the required level, implement their maintenance and repair.

The guests got acquainted with the production process and finished oil products of the Experimental Industrial Plant of ANAS and “Millers Oils Azerbaijan” LLC. The goods collected in the warehouse, high-quality lubricants produced here, caused great interest among the delegation. It was noted that, the main activities of "Millers Oils Azerbaijan" are marine diesel oils, high-quality automotive lubricating oils.

It was also noted that, within the framework SOCAR – ANAS cooperation, various types of lubricants and other production goods were produced at High Technologies Park of ANAS.

Then, SOCAR delegation got acquainted with unmanned aerial vehicles and military-oriented innovative products of the Center for Strategic Scientific Research of ANAS. It was noted that, High Technologies Park of ANAS is engaged in the production of electronics, automation, software, unmanned aerial vehicles and other electronic devices. The development of such devices and the production of multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicles is one of the promising areas of technology park activity.

At the end of the meeting was held “a round table” at the main administrative building of the High Technologies Park of ANAS.

In conclusion, the importance of continued cooperation between the two organizations was emphasized, and certain decisions were taken on the exchange of personnel and experience.
